A few days ago i saw a video someone shared in face book, it was a video about a Palestinian teacher who won a noble prize for the world best teacher award.
Her name is Hanan Al Hroub, she grew in a camp refugee. She became a teacher after her kids was traumatized when they saw shooting on their way home from school. Now, she helps kids affected by violence using games to help children get over their trauma. Her idea help reduce violence in school.
After seeing this video i thought a lot about how teachers have great impact on their students especially children. I recall how my nephew had an argument with his father saying that his father is wrong and his teacher is right, it was only about an origami airplane but he insisted that his father got it wrong and that his teacher is the only one who knows how to do it.
Being a four year old boy, my nephew adores his teacher very much and so i thought what Hanan Al Hroub said in her speech after receiving the award was very true.
She said..." we can change the future, we are the real power in this world, just teachers, just teachers...we can change the world for the better."
So, on behalf of every student in this world i would like to thank all the teachers in the world be it kinder garden teachers to those lecturers in universities...i hope that you guys can keep doing your job for we are very thankful to have people like you guys in this world.
Teachers are the real power in this world.
